Final Round (R6) Taupo Winter Series
28 October 2014, Taupo
Vinny leaves the best to last and wins this round of Tapo Winter Series for 11-12yo 85cc. He places 5'th in the series having missed Round 5 with a broken collarbone.

Awakaponga Whakatane
After a 2 months break from MX Vinny races in the 13-16yo 85cc class and gets a DNF, 11'th and 18'th to place 24'th. We had gremlins in the bike this w/e and at one stage it looked like Vinny would get no racing.

By racing to a 7'th, 4'th and 5'th on day one, then 8'th and 6'th on day two Vinny places 5'th in the 85cc class.

Vinny struggles with the deep ruts and places 17'th in the 11-12yo 85 class. His best race is his first where he placed 13'th.

Vinny places 2'nd in the inaugural Winter Champs held by Gold Coast MCC by racing to 4'th, 2'nd and 2'nd in the 8-12yo 85cc class.

First time racing in South Island for Vinny. Over two days he places 4'th, 6'th, 4'th, 2'nd, 5'th and 4'th to place 3'rd in the Champs.

In his first NZ Junior Champs Vinny races to 33'rd, 29'th, 28'th, 25'th and 28'th placig 29'th. We will be back in 2014!

Vinny is in his first year of Intermediate but was allowed to enter under Havelock Nth High School. On a very dusty and tough track he places 10'th.

This was Vinny's "swan song' in 65cc Mini MX as he would after this move up to 85cc. We went hunting for a podium finish, but the day did not go to plan and Vinny placed 12'th after a 9'th, 22'nd and a 4'th placing.

First day Vinny wins 2 races and comes third in one, placing him first at the end of the day. Second day he collects three 2'nd placings dropping him to 2'nd in the championships.

As a non-club member Vinny's points at this meeting did not count. But if they had counted he would have placed 3'rd after a 4'th, 2'nd and a 3'rd finish.
